Carsten Wortmann

 Founding Partner

As a founding partner, Carsten Wortmann works with global clients on mid and senior-level executive searches across Europe, Asia, and the US where he has relevant experience.

Carsten has more than 25 years of experience in international management consulting. He has worked for firms such as Arthur Andersen, Kienbaum, and EY. He also spent time in China, as managing director Asia, for a German company.

Carsten is a co-founder of W&W and was previously managing partner of a consulting company that supports European companies in their manufacturing, marketing, and sales activities in Asia. This included the role of being interim CEO responsible for business development. He also served on the board of a NASDAQ-listed company. 

 

During his career, Carsten has been able to gain extensive insight into the specialist field of executive search from both sides of the desk. Before co-founding W&W Global Partners, Carsten was general manager and an associated partner of an American-based executive search boutique. In this position, he was mainly responsible for searches in Europe, the US, and Asia.

Carsten holds a German Master’s degree in International Business and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in the US, as well as a Certificate for Recruiting and Talent Acquisition from Cornell University.

 

He is a frequent speaker and panelist on executive search-related events and has authored multiple articles published in business magazines. Carsten has a broad network and is a member of several business associations including the German chapter of Hong-Kong Business Associations Worldwide.
